Welcome to the new website of the Condensed Matter group of the Center for Computational Physics of the University of Coimbra

Our group focuses in unraveling the mechanic, optic, electronic and dynamic properties of materials in a variety of contexts. We use ab-initio techniques as well as coarse grained models to tackle problems in Materials Sciences and Biology. We produce fundamental and applied science and contribute to the development of codes used worldwide in ab-initio calculations.  Please see the Research section for more details.
